
DayNews, Staff Reporter: On the occasion of the debut of Shuddha Bangla Sangeet Raksha Parishad Bangladesh, a discussion and cultural program was organized in the auditorium of Kabi Nazrul Institute in Dhanmondi in the capital on Saturday (May 6). The program was inaugurated by veteran freedom fighter, music artist, composer and music director Timir Nandi.

Prominent composer and music director Lokman Hakim, Deputy Secretary Halim Tolstoy and composer Rangu Shahabuddin spoke on the occasion.
Speakers of the program said that pure cultural practice is the need of the hour. Music is like food for the mind and helps in building a better nation.
They said that the activities of Shudh Bangla Sangeet Raksha Parishad is an ongoing process. This council will play a role in keeping Bengali music pure.
The program was moderated by Golam Sarwar, President of Pure Bangla Sangeet Raksha Parishad-Bangladesh and eminent composer and music director. People from different classes and professions including cultural arena were present in the event. Besides, interesting cultural program was organized after the discussion meeting.
